The Philippine National Police (PNP) has begun the early deployment of over 50,000 personnel nationwide ahead of the Undas holidays to manage traffic, maintain public order, and assist travelers.
PNP acting chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that this "soft deployment" aims for smoother coordination and preparedness before the expected influx of travelers.
The PNP is on heightened alert from October 29 to November 3, with all units directed to strengthen security measures.
This deployment of approximately 50,000 officers is higher than the 32,000 assigned during Undas 2024.
They will be supported by over 16,000 personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Philippine Coast Guard, along with more than 45,000 force multipliers.
