2.4M visitors throng cemeteries for Undas 2025; PNP deploys over 93K personnel

More than 2.4 million individuals have visited cemeteries and columbaria nationwide for Undas 2025 as of Saturday afternoon.

The PNP deployed 93,839 personnel for Oplan Ligtas Undas 2025, comprising 31,056 PNP officers, 20,134 from other government agencies, and 42,649 force multipliers.

Police visibility is high with 5,018 Police Assistance Desks set up in 4,901 cemeteries and 1,531 Motorists Assistance Centers strategically placed along major highways and transport terminals.

Security teams were also deployed in 70 airports, 682 bus terminals, 363 seaports, and 78 train stations to ensure smooth passenger movement.

Acting Chief PNP Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. stated that the deployment reflects their commitment to the safety and peace of Filipino families.

Nartatez also highlighted the role of Unified 911 in providing real-time assistance and advised the public against bringing prohibited items like weapons and alcohol into cemeteries.
