Number of COVID-infected personnel in PNP rises to 13
The Philippine National Police (PNP) confirmed that 13 police officers have tested positive for COVID-19.
Of the 13 cases, four police officers have no history of travel abroad and may have contracted the disease while deployed to quarantine checkpoints.
As of Thursday, 182 PNP personnel were classified as Patients Under Investigation (PUIs) and 1,545 were listed as Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs).
The PNP has opened the Kiangan Billeting Center inside Camp Crame for personnel needing self-quarantine.
All other police camps and police regional offices are also encouraged to have their own quarantine areas for their personnel.
