10 Chinese nationals nabbed in Clark POGO raid

Ten Chinese nationals were apprehended in Clark, Pampanga, for their alleged involvement in an illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operation (POGO).

The Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) conducted the operation, serving search warrants in an exclusive community within the Clark Freeport and Special Economic Zone.

During the raid, authorities confiscated computers and gadgets used in POGO activities.

Thirteen Chinese nationals, including two women with three babies and three Filipino helpers, were rescued from the facility.

Authorities believe the rescued individuals are victims of human trafficking who escaped from the POGO Lucky South 99 Gaming Incorporated in Porac last June.

The rescued individuals were brought to Camp Crame for documentation and proper disposition, and were set to be handed over to the Bureau of Immigration for profiling and verification.

Separately, another Chinese man was apprehended in Tuba, Benguet, who is wanted in China for massive fraud amounting to approximately P56 billion and is believed to be the mastermind behind scamming activities in POGOs operating in the Philippines.
