Philippines reports 2,303 new COVID-19 cases, lowest since March

The Philippines reported 2,303 new COVID-19 infections on Tuesday, the lowest daily tally since March 2, bringing the total number of cases to 2,792,656.

Active cases decreased to 40,786, with 71.2% mild, 5.1% asymptomatic, 7.5% severe, and 3.2% critical.

There were 4,677 new recoveries, bringing the total to 2,708,466.

The country recorded 128 new fatalities, raising the death toll to 43,404.

Nationwide, 46% of COVID-19 ICU beds are in use, and 32% of mechanical ventilators are utilized.

In the National Capital Region, 40% of ICU beds are occupied, and 30% of ventilators are in use.

Twenty-two duplicate cases were removed from the total count, and 106 recoveries were reclassified as deaths.
