Philippines reports 5,825 new COVID-19 recoveries, 3,410 new cases

As of Sunday, October 31, 2021, the Philippines reported 5,825 new recoveries, bringing the total to 2,698,871, which is 96.8 percent of the total COVID-19 infections.

The nation logged 3,410 new cases, resulting in 45,233 active cases.

Of the active cases, 73.6 percent have mild symptoms, followed by moderate, severe, asymptomatic, and critical cases.

There were 128 new deaths, increasing the national death toll to 43,172.

The COVID-19 positivity rate was 7.2 percent based on 46,450 tests administered on October 29.

Nationwide, 46 percent of ICU beds, 35 percent of isolation beds, and 32 percent of ward beds for COVID-19 patients are occupied.

In Metro Manila, 39 percent of ICU beds, 28 percent of isolation beds, and 29 percent of ward beds are in use.
