Philippines hosts 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship with 32 teams

The Philippines is hosting the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship from September 12 to 28, featuring 32 top teams, including the local squad Alas Pilipinas.

Defending world champion Italy, world No. 1 Poland, Brazil, Olympic champion France, Japan, and USA are among the participating powerhouse nations.

The tournament is being held across two venues: the Araneta Coliseum and the Mall of Asia Arena.

A total of 32 teams are divided into eight pools (A to H) for a round-robin preliminary stage, with the top two from each pool advancing.

The preliminary round will be followed by a 16-team knockout stage, leading to the championship match.

Daily matches commence at 10 am Manila time and run until almost midnight, providing extensive live volleyball action.

As of September 10, 2025, the standings show the Philippines leading Pool A with 0 wins and 0 losses, alongside Egypt, Iran, and Tunisia, while Pool B features Netherlands, Poland, Qatar, and Romania with identical records.
