PH records over 6,400 new COVID-19 cases

The Philippines recorded 6,426 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, June 14, 2021, bringing the total number of infections to 1,322,053.

This marks the fourth consecutive day with over 6,000 new cases reported.

Active cases decreased to 59,096, with 91.8% mild, 3.9% asymptomatic, 1.8% severe, and 1.3% critical.

There were 7,145 new recoveries, raising the total to 1,240,112.

Meanwhile, 57 new fatalities brought the death toll to 22,845.

Twelve duplicates were removed from the total case count, and 10 cases were reclassified from recoveries to deaths.

Nationwide, 58% of intensive care unit beds are in use and 36% of mechanical ventilators are occupied.

In the National Capital Region, 47% of ICU beds are utilized and 34% of ventilators are in use.
