The Philippine government has received 1.5 million doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine.

The vaccines arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Saturday morning via Cebu Pacific Flight 5J671 from Beijing.

These doses were procured by the government as part of ongoing efforts to combat COVID-19.

Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. highlighted the collaborative efforts between the government and private sector in vaccine distribution.

After a certificate of analysis is issued, the vaccines will be distributed to local government units.

The shipment will be transported to Pharmaserv, a cold storage facility in Marikina City, for safekeeping.
