PH logs 6,812 new COVID-19 cases, 116 deaths

The Philippines has logged an additional 2,867 COVID-19 recoveries, bringing the total to 1,305,608, which represents 94.3% of the total infections.

The country also reported 6,812 new cases and 116 new deaths, increasing the total active cases to 55,293 and the death toll to 24,152.

Of the active cases, 90.8% are mild, 4.6% are asymptomatic, 1.9% are severe, 1.35% are moderate, and 1.3% are in critical condition.

The DOH noted the removal of 19 duplicates and the reclassification of 61 recovered cases as deaths after final validation.

On June 23, 11.6% of 51,005 individuals tested positive for COVID-19, with all laboratories submitting their data.

Nationwide, 57% of ICU beds, 46% of isolation beds, 44% of ward beds, and 36% of ventilators dedicated to COVID-19 patients are in use.
