PH downgraded to moderate COVID-19 risk area

The Philippines has been reclassified as a moderate-risk area for COVID-19 due to a decline in infections.

The two-week growth rate in cases has dropped to negative 4 percent, significantly lower than the 27 percent reported the week prior.

Despite the national classification, nine regions remain at high-risk.

Metro Manila has moved to a moderate-risk classification as cases begin to slow.

Nationwide, 67.83% of hospital beds for COVID-19 patients are utilized, remaining at a moderate-risk level.

As of September 26, 43.93 million coronavirus vaccines have been administered, with over 20.3 million Filipinos fully vaccinated.
