PH Covid-19 recoveries surpass 1.38 million

The Philippines has recorded an additional 3,925 recoveries from Covid-19, increasing the total number of recovered patients to 1,380,899.

This brings the recovery rate to 94.9% of the total 1,455,585 infections recorded since the pandemic began.

The country also reported 5,484 new Covid-19 infections and 191 new fatalities, bringing the total active cases to 49,036 and the death toll to 25,650.

Of the active cases, about 90.9 percent are mild, 3.7 percent are asymptomatic, 2.2 percent are severe, 1.62 percent are moderate, and 1.5 percent are in critical condition.

On July 6, 11.3% of those tested turned out positive for Covid-19.

Nationwide, 57% of intensive care unit (ICU) beds are currently in use, and 36% of ventilators are also being utilized.
