DOH reports 4,114 new COVID-19 cases, 1,370,923 recoveries

The Philippines' total number of recovered COVID-19 cases reached 1,370,923 after 6,086 new survivors were reported.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 4,114 new infections on Tuesday, bringing the total active cases nationwide to 49,613.

The country's death toll from the virus climbed to 25,296 with the addition of 104 new fatalities.

Overall, the Philippines has confirmed 1,445,832 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.

A significant portion of active cases, 90.8 percent, exhibit mild symptoms, while the rest are asymptomatic, critical, severe, or moderate.

Data from July 4 indicates that 10.5 percent of 31,536 individuals tested for COVID-19 yielded positive results.

Nine laboratories were not able to submit their data to the DOH's COVID-19 Document Repository System.

Additionally, 38 cases previously classified as recoveries were reclassified as active cases, and 63 recoveries were tagged as deaths.
