P&G Philippines to produce face masks for donation

Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines is setting up a face mask manufacturing line at its Cabuyao City, Laguna plant to produce masks for donation and employee use, not for sale.

The initiative is part of P&G's global effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and aligns with its commitment to social responsibility.

This production aims to address the growing demand for face masks, especially following the government's mandate for citizens to wear masks when outside their homes.

P&G will work with the Department of Health (DOH), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Board of Investments (BOI) to distribute the masks to hospitals and communities in need.

This effort complements P&G's previous donations, which include P100 million worth of products, assistance for employees, and support for business partners.

The company is investing in additional equipment for the Cabuyao plant to facilitate this new production line.
