PDP Laban proclaims 9 senatorial bets for 2025 polls

Partido ng Demokratiko Pilipino Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) formally proclaimed nine senatorial candidates for the 2025 midterm elections.

Former President Rodrigo Duterte, the party chairman, endorsed the slate and stated he will attend major rallies, though he cited financial and health reasons for limiting his participation.

Among the proclaimed candidates are Senators Robinhood Padilla, Bong Go, and Bato Dela Rosa, along with former executive secretary Vic Rodriguez, actor Philip Salvador, musician Jimmy Bondoc, former DILG Undersecretary Jayvee Hinlo, former Presidential Adviser Raul Lambino, SAGIP party-list Rep. Rodante Marcoleta, and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

Senator Dela Rosa rejected President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s statement about the country potentially returning to a "bloody past" if rival candidates are elected, stating he would "dirty his hands with the blood of bad people" if necessary.
