PBBM orders probe on no water in Bulacan schools

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. directed the Local Water Utilities Administration (LWUA) to investigate the loss of water service in elementary schools in Bulacan.

Marcos discovered bathrooms needing repair at Tibagan Elementary School and Barihan Elementary School, noting some are no longer connected to water.

Palace Press Officer Undersecretary Claire Castro highlighted that the loss of water service affects students' cleanliness, health, and dignity.

LWUA has been given 48 hours to submit an initial report to the Office of the President, identifying those responsible and proposing solutions for restoring water supply before the school year.

Castro emphasized the need for basic services in schools for students to learn properly, asking, "Paano sila makakapagaral nang maayos kung ang mismong eskwelahan ay kulang sa batayang serbisyo?"
