PAOCC, PAGCOR shut down largest POGO hub in Cavite

The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) have officially shut down the largest Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Cavite.

PAGCOR confirmed that as of December 17, 2024, there are no longer any POGO hubs operating in the country, following the closure.

The POGO facility, located on a 30-hectare property with 57 buildings, had its power supply cut off and showed no signs of business activity prior to the closure.

Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla stated that the compound no longer has electricity and is devoid of any business operations, aligning with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive.

PAOCC intends to conduct full-scale operations in January to ensure that no POGOs, Internet Gambling Licensees (IGLs), or entities falsely claiming to be licensed Business Process Outsourcers (BPOs) are permitted to operate.
