DILG Secretary Remulla, PNP chief Marbil padlock Island Cove POGO hub in Cavite
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla formally ordered the closure of a Philippine offshore gaming operator (Pogo) hub located in Island Cove, Kawit, Cavite on December 17.

The Pogo hub had ceased operations on November 30.
Remulla had previously vowed to personally ensure the closure of the facility upon assuming his role as DILG Secretary in October.
The inspection occurred two weeks ahead of the December 31 deadline for all Pogos to cease operations in the Philippines.
