PBBM allocates P520M to 3 medical institutions

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has allocated nearly P520 million in donations to three major medical institutions to support their projects aimed at improving Filipino healthcare.

The Philippine Heart Center (PHC) received P200.5 million, the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) was granted P185.2 million, and the National Kidney and Transplant Institute (NKTI) was given P134 million.

During the inauguration of the Bagong Urgent Care and Ambulatory Service Center (BUCAS), President Marcos lauded the PHC as a beacon of hope and excellence in healthcare.

Marcos stated that the funding for the PHC is intended to support its ongoing initiatives that benefit the Filipino populace.

He also acknowledged the historical significance of the PHC, established by his father, and the role of his mother in championing specialty centers in the Philippines.

The President reiterated his administration's commitment to ensuring that all Filipinos have access to urgent medical care, regardless of their location.

Marcos expressed a vision for a healthcare system that is proactive rather than merely reactive in its approach to public health.
