The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) is preparing to file more charges against suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo, who is accused of enabling illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hubs.
PAOCC Spokesperson Dr. Winston John Casio expressed confidence that prosecutors will recognize the strength of their evidence, citing digital footprints and paper trails that make Guo's connection to illegal POGOs clearer.
The PAOCC and the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) recently filed a qualified human trafficking complaint against Mayor Guo and others in connection to a POGO hub raid in Bamban, Tarlac.
Additional charges are being prepared against Guo, focusing on her supposed connection to the raided illegal POGO compound in Porac, Pampanga, as documents from Pagcor and Baofu Land Development allegedly prove she was a "primary enabler".
Casio stated that his belief is getting stronger that both Porac and Bamban are two branches of the same criminal organization, and the mayor's family is involved in both scam farms.
The PAOCC aims for the mayor to be formally charged and arrested to demonstrate accountability for those involved in scamming operations.
The commission is currently completing documentary requirements and complaint affidavits before filing the new cases with the Department of Justice.
