Pangasinan extends ECQ until April 14 amid COVID-19 cases

Pangasinan Governor Amado Espino III has extended the province's extreme enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) until midnight of April 14.

The extension is a measure to safeguard the health and welfare of residents due to the spread of COVID-19.

As of April 6, Pangasinan recorded 29 COVID-19 cases with eight fatalities, while 21 patients are admitted to hospitals.

There are also 89 patients under investigation (PUIs), with 10 deaths and 32 hospital admissions.

The province has a total of 85,439 persons under monitoring.

Strict home quarantine is enforced, with residents only allowed to leave their homes for essential needs like food and medicine.

Heightened presence of uniformed personnel will be observed to ensure compliance with quarantine measures.

The Sta. Barbara Halfway House has been opened to accommodate recovered patients who still need to complete their quarantine period.
