Palace refutes rumors of Duterte hospitalization

Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo has debunked rumors circulating on social media that President Duterte has been hospitalized, assuring the public that the President is fit and healthy and continues to perform his duties.

Panelo described the reports of the President's confinement at Cardinal Santos Medical Center as false news and urged the public to be cautious of misinformation.

The President is currently staying at his official residence, Bahay Pagbabago, and is performing his presidential duties from there.

President Duterte recently went on self-quarantine as a precautionary measure against COVID-19 upon the advice of his doctors, following exposure to officials who had contact with positive cases.

Senator Christopher Go stated that the President will remain in self-quarantine until April 7.

In a recent televised address, President Duterte warned communist groups against instigating riots during the enhanced community quarantine and instructed the police to patrol to prevent violence against health workers.
