Palace: Duterte won't undergo 2nd COVID-19 test

President Rodrigo Duterte will not undergo a second COVID-19 test as he remains healthy and asymptomatic, according to Malacañang.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo stated that the President has not displayed any symptoms such as colds, cough, fever, sore throat, or shortness of breath.

Duterte has been advised by his doctors and the Presidential Security Group to undergo home quarantine as a precautionary measure, which is set to last until April 7.

The President has limited his recent meetings to a small number of Cabinet members and has been utilizing video conferencing.

Stringent security measures, including a 'no touch' policy, have been implemented by the Presidential Security Group to ensure the President's safety and health during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The President was not exposed to Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año prior to March 26, when Año was confirmed to have been exposed to infected individuals.
