PAL Group flies 100,000 kgs of relief goods to Visayas, Mindanao

The Philippine Airlines (PAL) Group has transported nearly 100,000 kilograms of essential relief goods to areas in the Visayas and Mindanao devastated by Typhoon Odette.

In addition to delivering aid, PAL conducted five recovery missions from December 19 to 24, rescuing 430 individuals from Siargao.

The relief items, including food packs and water bottles, were sourced from donations by the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, the Lucio Tan Group, and various government and non-government organizations.

PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna stated that the airline used its De Havilland Dash8-400 NG aircraft to deliver humanitarian aid and continues to collaborate with stakeholders to support typhoon-affected provinces.

PAL Express President Bonifacio Sam highlighted that these efforts, encompassing both relief transport and victim rescue, are the company's contribution to the government's ongoing rescue and relief operations.
