Navy ship carries P3.8M relief goods for Odette victims in Siargao

The Philippine Navy ship BRP Ivatan departed Zamboanga City on December 20, carrying over PHP3.8 million worth of relief goods for victims of Typhoon Odette in Siargao.

The relief items provided by DSWD and DOH-9 include family food packs, hygiene kits, medicines, face masks, tents, blankets, bath sheets, and mosquito nets.

The BRP Ivatan was expected to arrive in Siargao at 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Additionally, the Police Regional Office in the Zamboanga Peninsula (PRO-9) has shipped PHP300,000 worth of relief goods to the Caraga Region, which was one of the hardest-hit areas by Typhoon Odette.

PRO-9's relief goods included rice, noodles, canned goods, coffee, biscuits, drinking water, medicine, hygiene kits, slippers, and mosquito nets.

These goods were transported by a PRO-9 team via trucks and pick-up trucks and turned over to PRO-13 director Brig. Gen. Romeo Caramat Jr. in Butuan City for distribution.
