PAGASA issues thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila and nearby provinces

PAGASA issued a thunderstorm advisory for Metro Manila, Quezon, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Laguna, and Rizal, warning of moderate to heavy rain showers with lightning and strong winds expected within the next two hours.

Nasugbu and Talisay in Batangas, along with Maragondon, Ternate, and Tagaytay in Cavite, are currently experiencing moderate to heavy rains.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to take precautionary measures against possible flash floods and landslides.

The Southwest Monsoon will also impact the western sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, bringing cloudy skies with scattered rain to the rest of MIMAROPA, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of CALABARZON can expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon, with a risk of flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The remaining parts of Luzon will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.
