Southwest monsoon to bring rains to Luzon

The southwest monsoon, locally known as 'habagat,' is expected to bring scattered rains across Luzon on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, according to PAGASA.

Metro Manila and most of Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

However, Mimaropa and the Bicol Region are expected to have generally clear weather, though still with a high chance of rain due to the habagat, especially in the early morning, afternoon, and evening.

Hot weather conditions are anticipated in Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao from noon to afternoon.

The habagat continues to affect Visayas and Mindanao but is no longer expected to bring significant rainfall, with only possible showers in the early morning, afternoon, and evening.

No tropical cyclones or low-pressure areas are currently being monitored inside or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
