Pagasa forecasts rains nationwide due to amihan and easterlies

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) forecasts rains across the country due to the northeast monsoon (amihan) and the easterlies.

The northeast monsoon is expected to bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon, and Camarines Norte, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

The easterlies will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao Oriental, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of the country.

Strong winds with rough waters may be expected in Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon.

The eastern section of Visayas will experience moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of the country will observe light to moderate winds with slight to moderate coastal waters.
