The remains of Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) Leah Mosquera, who died after a missile attack in Rehovot, Israel, have been repatriated to the Philippines.
Mosquera was injured when a missile struck a residential building in Rehovot on June 15, amid back-and-forth attacks between Israel and Iran.
She received emergency treatment and was on a ventilator at Shamir Medical Center's intensive care unit until her passing on July 13.
Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac confirmed her death and thanked Israel Ambassador Ilan Fluss for his assistance during the repatriation.
Two other OFWs were injured in the same attack but were released after treatment.
In compliance with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s directive, the DMW and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration will provide all forms of assistance to Mosquera's family.
