OFW close contact of UK variant case tests negative

An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Cotabato City, who was a close contact of the first Filipino case of the UK COVID-19 variant, has tested negative for the virus.

The OFW, a 29-year-old who returned from Kuwait via UAE Flight EK 332 on January 7, initially underwent testing in Manila.

A repeat swab conducted on January 26 also yielded negative results, confirming she is virus-free.

Although asymptomatic, the OFW's 14-day quarantine in Cotabato City will continue, with her close family members also undergoing isolation.
