NTF expects faster vax rate amid rising vaccine confidence

The National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 anticipates an accelerated inoculation rate due to a recent survey indicating increased vaccine confidence among Filipinos.

NTF chief implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. highlighted the survey's significance, especially with substantial vaccine supplies expected in the coming months through purchases, COVAX, and donations.

NTF deputy chief implementer Secretary Vince Dizon projected that heightened vaccine confidence will lead to improved vaccination statistics.

Dizon noted that approximately 14 million Filipinos have received at least one vaccine dose, with daily vaccinations peaking at 375,000, aligning with the survey's findings of rising vaccine confidence.

Galvez emphasized the crucial role of collaboration between the private sector, local government units (LGUs), and the national government in achieving the vaccination program's objectives, including a "happier Christmas for all Filipinos."

The June 2021 Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey revealed that 45% of Filipino adults are willing to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
