Janine Gutierrez mourns death of grandmothers Nora Aunor and Pilita Corrales

Actress Janine Gutierrez is grieving the loss of her two grandmothers, Nora Aunor, Philippine Cinema's "Superstar" and National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, and Pilita Corrales, Asia's Queen of Songs, who both passed away within five days.

Gutierrez, whose mother is Lotlot De Leon (daughter of Nora) and father is Ramon Christopher (son of Pilita), honored both her grandmothers on social media.

She described her grandmother Nora, whom she called "Mama Guy," as a treasure to their family who gave immeasurable love to everyone she touched.

Gutierrez shared that her family is "deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support" and asked for prayers for Nora's children.

She also remembered Pilita, noting that she touched the lives of many with her songs, kindness, and generosity.

The public viewing for Nora Aunor will be held on April 19 and 20 at The Chapels at Heritage Park, with interment on April 22 at Libingan ng mga Bayani.
