NGCP transmission lines in Luzon resume normal ops as Tropical Storm Ramil approaches

All National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) transmission lines and facilities in Luzon have resumed normal operations as of Sunday afternoon.

This follows the successful restoration of the Gumaca-Atimonan 69-kilovolt line at 1:50 p.m. on Sunday, October 19.

The restoration efforts were made amidst preparations for Tropical Storm Ramil, which has placed six areas under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) 2 and 27 areas under TCWS 1.

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has placed its crews on standby 24/7 to manage potential power disruptions.
