NCRPO seizes P146M illegal drugs, nabs 3,683 suspects

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has confiscated PHP146 million worth of illegal drugs from January 1 to April 4, 2025, arresting 3,683 suspects in 2,386 operations.

The majority of the seized drugs consisted of shabu, valued at PHP145.87 million.

Other confiscated substances included marijuana worth PHP957,322, cocaine amounting to PHP91,690, and kush valued at PHP168,750.

NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin emphasized the police force's commitment to eradicating illegal drug networks and protecting communities.

Aberin stated that the NCRPO will continue its intelligence-driven campaign against illegal drugs to eliminate the menace.

During the same period, the crime rate in Metro Manila saw a decrease of 23.63 percent compared to the previous year.
