NCR COVID-19 cases hit new high, may reach 12,000 Friday

OCTA projects the NCR to report between 11,000 to 13,000 new cases on Friday, and the entire country to see 17,000 to 19,000 cases.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 17,220 new COVID-19 cases nationwide, bringing the total tally to 2,888,917.

The country's active cases have reached 56,561, with the majority being mild or asymptomatic.
