Nayong Pilipino to become PH's first mega vaccination site

The Philippine government is preparing to open the Nayong Pilipino in Parañaque City as its first "mega" vaccination site soon.

This initiative, along with other planned mega sites, aims to increase the country's vaccination capacity, with an initial target of inoculating 500,000 individuals daily across all sites.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. previously announced that these mega sites could accommodate up to 10,000 individuals per day.

The expansion of vaccination sites includes medium-sized venues capable of vaccinating 5,000 to 6,000 people daily, and mobile options for remote areas.

To support this accelerated vaccination program, the government requires an additional 55,000 vaccinators.

Members of the private sector have also offered large venues and workforce support for the vaccination drive as part of corporate social responsibility.
