Navy seizes P10 billion shabu haul off Subic

The Philippine Navy seized approximately 1.5 tons of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P10 billion off the coast of Subic, Zambales on June 20, 2025.

The operation was a joint effort between the Northern Luzon Naval Command and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), following weeks of intelligence gathering.

Naval assets intercepted the Philippine-registered fishing vessel near Barangay Cawag, Subic, Zambales, within Philippine territorial waters.

Authorities found 1,495 bricks of suspected shabu concealed in sacks aboard the vessel.

The confiscated illegal drugs are believed to have been transferred from a foreign 'mother ship' in international waters.

This significant drug haul is considered one of the largest in the history of the Philippine Navy.

The contraband was likely in preparation for distribution to local syndicates once landed.
