MRT-3 offers free rides to PWDs during National Disability Rights Week

The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) is offering free rides to persons with disabilities (PWDs) from July 17 to July 23, 2025.

This initiative coincides with the celebration of National Disability Rights Week.

The free rides will be available during specific morning and evening hours: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

According to the MRT-3 management, this program aligns with President Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos, Jr.'s directive to reduce passenger transportation expenses and recognize significant national events.

To avail of the free rides, PWD passengers are required to show their PWD identification cards to station personnel.

Additionally, PWDs riding outside these designated free ride hours can still benefit from a 50 percent fare discount, a policy recently implemented following a directive from President Marcos.

This 50 percent fare discount for PWDs and senior citizens on Metro Manila's three train lines commenced on Wednesday, July 16.
