MOH-BARMM confirms 11 new Covid-19 cases among returning students

All 12 individuals tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, and nine of them were asymptomatic.

The affected students, who arrived on May 15 and were immediately brought to the isolation facility in Maguindanao Provincial Hospital, are in stable condition.

Of the 11 new positives, five were residents of Sultan Kudarat, and one each from Shariff Aguak, Datu Piang, Buluan, South Upi, Datu Odin Sinsuat, and Datu Paglas.

The remaining four students who tested negative for Covid-19 are still undergoing a strict quarantine.

With the new cases, the total number of Covid-19 positives in BARMM is now 23, with 13 in Maguindanao, nine in Lanao del Sur, and one in Sulu.

The MOH-BARMM assures the public there is no need to worry as the students were immediately isolated upon arrival and underwent testing.
