Megaworld malls reopen with stricter safety measures

Megaworld lifestyle malls are reopening some of their branches on Saturday, May 16, implementing stricter safety measures for shoppers.

The malls reopening include various locations across Quezon City, Manila, Makati, Mandaluyong, Las Piñas, Batangas, Laguna, Cebu, and Iloilo.

New safety protocols include mandatory social distancing, thermal checks, face mask use, and cashless transactions.

Disinfection chambers will be installed at mall entrances to further mitigate the spread of the virus.

Contactless purchase options, including pick-up counters and drive-thru stations for takeout and delivery orders, will be available.

Chapels, entertainment, and leisure establishments will remain closed in accordance with community quarantine guidelines.

Access to free WiFi will be temporarily unavailable.

Shoppers must present valid IDs, and only individuals aged 21 to 59 will be allowed entry.

Restaurants and dining establishments will only cater to takeout orders.
