Guo's lawyer says nationality claims unproven

Mayor Alice Guo's lawyer, Atty. Stephen David, stated that allegations of her lying about her nationality are unproven and require presentation in court.

David mentioned that the National Bureau of Investigation's (NBI) finding of identical fingerprints between Mayor Guo and Guo Hua Ping is a piece of evidence that needs to be verified in court.

He added that there is a formal process to authenticate or discredit documents presented as evidence.

The NBI's dactyloscopy report, released yesterday, declared the fingerprints of Guo and Guo Hua Ping identical after comparative examination and analysis by the NBI Organized and Transnational Crime Division.

David previously expressed surprise at the retrieval of old documents and questioned their accuracy, noting that the alleged arrival in the Philippines occurred over two decades ago.

He admitted his initial role was to defend Guo on an offshore gaming operations hub issue, but the scope of allegations has since expanded.
