PBBM names new CSC chair
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed Atty. Marilyn Barua-Yap as the ad interim chairperson of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), replacing former CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
Barua-Yap's term as CSC ad interim chairperson is set to expire on February 2, 2029.
Prior to this appointment, she served as an undersecretary at the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for Special Concerns, External Affairs and Communications.
She also has extensive experience in the legislature, having served as the secretary general of the House of Representatives from 2008 to 2016, and is noted as its first female secretary general.
