Luzon, Visayas affected by shear line, amihan, ITCZ

The shear line, northeast monsoon (amihan), and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) are affecting Luzon and Visayas.

Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Palawan, Albay, Masbate, and Sorsogon may experience cloudy skies with scattered light to heavy rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Residents in these areas are advised to take precautions against possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains.

Batanes and Cagayan will have cloudy skies with light rains because of the shear line and amihan.

The Ilocos and Cordillera regions, along with the rest of Cagayan Valley, will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from the amihan.

Metro Manila and the remainder of the country are forecasted to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA also advised those that may experience severe thunderstorms to remain vigilant against possible flash floods or landslides.
