LPA, shear line, amihan to bring rains across PH

A Low Pressure Area (LPA), shear line, and amihan are expected to bring cloudy skies and scattered rains across various parts of the Philippines on Thursday.

The LPA, located east of Surigao City, is bringing scattered rains and thunderstorms to Eastern Visayas and Caraga, with a risk of flash floods or landslides.

The trough of the LPA will cause similar weather conditions in the rest of Visayas and Mindanao, also with potential for flash floods or landslides.

The shear line will affect the eastern section of Southern Luzon, specifically Bicol Region and Quezon, with cloudy skies and scattered rains, and a possibility of moderate to heavy rains causing floods or landslides.

The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will bring cloudy skies with light rains to Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon, though these are not expected to have significant impact.
