DOLE, LANDBANK extends P1.2B to workers as Covid-19 aid
Land Bank of the Philippines has distributed P5,000 in financial aid to approximately 250,000 formal sector workers affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
This initiative is part of the Department of Labor and Employment's (DOLE) COVID-19 Adjustment Measures Program (CAMP).
The total disbursed amount reached P1.2 billion, based on submissions from 2,773 private companies.
The majority of the beneficiaries are located in the National Capital Region.
Workers will receive the cash aid directly credited to their bank accounts or through Palawan Express for those without accounts.
LandBank has waived all fees associated with the cash grant distribution.
LandBank President and CEO Cecilia Borromeo assured commitment to providing immediate financial access to workers and their families during this critical period.
