JTF CV Shield simplifies quarantine exemption guide

The Joint Task Force Corona Virus Shield (JTF CV Shield) has developed a simplified guide to clarify exemptions from home quarantine during the enhanced community quarantine.

The guide, titled 'Authorized Persons Outside Residence,' aims to prevent confusion among enforcers and the public at checkpoints.

Exemptions are categorized into five groups: Basic Services, Daily Essentials, Essential Goods, Utilities, and Other Authorized Persons.

Basic Services include personnel from medical services, emergency responders, security services, and funeral services.

Individuals working in sectors such as banks, groceries, pharmacies, and food establishments fall under Daily Essentials and Essential Goods.

Utility workers, including those from telecommunication, water, and energy companies, are also exempted.

The 'Other Authorized Persons' category includes individuals procuring basic necessities for their families (one per household), skeletal workforces of government branches and capital markets, legislators, cabinet officials, judiciary officials, governors, journalists, BPO employees, and international passengers.

This initiative was prompted by observed confusion and confrontations at checkpoints since the implementation of the quarantine measures.
