Govt revises list of authorized persons during ECQ

The national government has updated the list of individuals permitted to leave their residences during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in Luzon to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Officiating priests, pastors, and ministers are now allowed to conduct necrological services, while ATM service provider crew members have also been added to the authorized list.

Sari-sari store owners and carinderia staff engaged in delivery and takeout services are now permitted to go out.

Collectors and drivers for industrial, residential, hospital, and toxic waste management are also exempted from the strict home quarantine.

Personnel from Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) and export-oriented businesses can now leave their homes.

Only one person per household is allowed to go out to purchase essential commodities from stores and pharmacies.

Health workers, emergency responders, funeral employees, security services, and bank/money transfer personnel remain authorized to go out.

Workers in establishments providing food, supermarkets, groceries, convenience stores, and public markets are also exempted.

Pharmacists and drugstore employees are able to report for work.

Employees of companies in the energy, water, telecommunication, and sanitation sectors are also excluded from the stay-at-home directive.
