High-value drug suspect nabbed in Iloilo City

Anti-drug operatives in Iloilo City arrested Ronaldo Pedrosa alias "Onald/Naldo", a 34-year-old resident of Barangay Bolilao, during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bakhaw on Wednesday, October 9.

Pedrosa, identified as a high-value individual, was apprehended with approximately 450 grams of suspected shabu, estimated to be worth PHP3.06 million.

Authorities also recovered a caliber .38 revolver with ammunition and drug paraphernalia from the suspect.

He had previously been jailed for drug pushing 10 years ago.

Pedrosa is now facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

The confiscated illegal drug items will be turned over to the forensic unit, while Pedrosa is in the custody of ICPS-10.

The Iloilo City government commended the successful operation, pledging continued support for initiatives to make the city safer and drug-free.
