All international flights to and from the Philippines are suspended until May 8, 2020, based on a decision by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).
The suspension was initially ordered by National Task Force Against COVID-19 Chief Implementer Secretary Carlito Galvez, Jr. to decongest the country's quarantine facilities.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) for the flight ban.
Nine international airports are covered by the suspension: Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Davao International Airport, Clark International Airport, Iloilo International Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Zamboanga International Airport, Kalibo International Airport, Laoag International Airport, and Puerto Princesa International Airport.
Exempted from the suspension are official flights, emergency flights, cargo ambulance and medical supply flights, weather mitigation flights, maintenance flights, and international flights for stranded foreign nationals.
All domestic air arrivals and departures at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) will remain suspended.
