The Interagency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has approved interim guidelines for the repatriation of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) on cruise ships.
The Bureau of Quarantine has been instructed to update the existing algorithm for triaging possible COVID-19 patients at ports of entry, which will also apply to land-based OFWs.
A sub-technical working group, composed of the DOLE, DOT, DFA, DILG, and DOH, will formulate guidelines to manage and ensure the welfare of repatriated OFWs.
The New Clark City Athlete's Village will continue to serve as a temporary quarantine facility for repatriated OFWs.
Local government units (LGUs) are reminded to allow the transit of OFWs who have been cleared of COVID-19 or are undergoing mandatory home quarantine.
LGUs and local health units (LHUs) are also prohibited from issuing orders requiring asymptomatic drivers and crews of cargo or service delivery vehicles to undergo mandatory 14-day home quarantine.
These cargo and delivery vehicles, with no more than three personnel onboard, are exempted from quarantine restrictions provided social distancing measures are observed.
